Since 2015, ESSA has required states to rethink their systems of
accountability—the process of evaluating school performance
based on student performance measures—and support. Effective
accountability systems should drive continuous improvement toward
making college and career readiness a reality for each student
in a public school. Several months ago, Michigan released their
accountability system framework. What will be the intended and
unintended consequences of Michigan’s accountability system moving
forward? This and other pertinent accountability related topics
