Building a Better Assessment Future 2026
August 6 - 7, 2026It’s time to place students at the center of our classroom practice and assessment systems. This requires leadership that not only values innovation but is…
The Michigan Assessment Consortium (MAC) has hosted the Assessment Learning Institute (ALI) for several years, providing classroom teachers—many of whom are new to the profession—with foundational knowledge and skills related to classroom assessment.
These areas have been instrumental in rethinking classroom assessment and practice.
Over the past seven years, ALI has impacted approximately 200 educators. To build on this success, we established the ALI Alumni Series, now entering its second year, to reconnect with past participants and delve deeper into key topics that merit further exploration.
Our goal is to move beyond knowledge sharing and into meaningful implementation — creating space for collaboration, reflection, and real-world application that empowers and fortifies teachers in using classroom assessment to support student learning.

Note: All events are virtual from 4:30–6:00 pm ET.
