The Michigan Education Research Association (MERA) Spring 2019 Conference will focus on providing various updates and information on current initiatives and projects, throughout the state of Michigan, that effect all educators. Included in those updates will include specific topics such as: assessment, data, systems, accountability and the impact of social media on education. Various presenters, with strong content related backgrounds, will present to those in attendance. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions, provide feedback, dialogue and reflect on the presented information. Conversational points collected during the conference day and responses from the end-of-the-day evaluations will be share with those representatives throughout the educational system who would benefit from hearing about what was discussed during the day-long session. It is hoped that the conference will, ultimately, promote practices that improve the teaching and learning in education which is included in MERA’s mission statement.
