In support of our mission to improve student learning and achievement for all students, we address the current circumstances facing our schools in responding to the growing public rejection of racial inequity in American society and call for societal changes that ensure equity of opportunity and safety for Black students and other people of color.
We asked, and the MAC community is answering about their professional learning needs for 2020-21. More than any other topic, they are seeking information and support for using assessment in a remote or hybrid learning environment.* Read about some of the ways MAC is responding.
* In a recent survey of 251 Michigan educators (primarily from local school district or intermediate school district/regional service agencies) who have participated in professional learning from the Michigan Assessment Consortium or receive its newsletter, a strong majority of respondents (79%) expressed interest in learning about “assessment in a remote learning environment.”
